Hi everybody, I'm Robbie Schoonmaker, the owner of Matterhorn Financial Planning. Just want to give you a quick introduction to my firm and how we do things here.

We Don’t Start with the Money

Rather than simply asking you what your financial goals are and working from there, I want to go through a process with you to dig a little deeper.

I want to help you figure out:

What is it that’s most important?

What is it that’s missing from my life?

What are the most essential elements of my life?

Then we make that the purpose of your money. That becomes the focus of what we do with your financial plan.

Honest Conversations and a Simple Process

It just involves a couple meetings, some activities on your side, and some good honest discussion. We try to delve into that and figure out:

Why is it that you haven’t already done that?

How can we use your money to finally make it happen?

A Consulting Model—No Strings Attached

We’re going to do this using a consulting approach. I work on an hourly basis.

You’re really just buying my brain. It doesn’t matter what product you use. It doesn’t matter where your money is, how much you have, or where it goes. I don’t care.

I just want to help you figure out how to make your money worthwhile in your life.
